ಅಂಬುಜಾಕ್ಷನ ಬಂಟ ನೆನೆವರಿಗೆ ನಂಟ
ನಿಂಬರಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆವಂತ ವರದ ಹನುಮಂತ ।।ಪ।।

ಜಲಧಿಯನು ದಾಂಟಿ ಜಾನಕಿಗೆ ತಲೆವಾಗಿ ನೀ
ನಲಿದಕ್ಷಯ ನಿಶಾಟಾದ್ಯರರಿದೆ ಸತಿ ರಘು
ಕುಲೆನ್ದ್ರನನ್ಘ್ರಿಯ ಕಂಡು ಅಸಹಾಯದಿ
ಹಲವು ಸಾಹಸ ಮಾಡಿದಖಿಳ ಕಪಿನಾಥ ।।೧।।

ಕಿರ್ಮೀರ ಬಕ ಹಿಡಿಮ್ಬಕ ಕೀಚಕಾದಿ ಖಳ
ದುರ್ಮತಿ ಕದಳಿವನಕೆ ಮತ್ತ ಕರಿಯೆ
ನಿರ್ಮಳಾನನೆ ದ್ರೌಪದಿಯ ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದ ಕು
ಕರ್ಮಿ ಕೌರವರಿಗಶನಿಯೆ ।।೨।।

ಶ್ರೀ ಬಾದರಾಯಣಾಜ್ಞದಿ ತತ್ವಸಾರಾರ್ಥ
ನೀ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದೆ ನಿಜ ವೈಷ್ಣವ ಜನಕೆ
ಈ ಭುವಿಗೆ ಕಶ್ಮಲ ಕುವಾದಿಗಳ ಗೆದ್ದಬ್ಜ
ನಾಭಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನವೆಂಕಟೇಶಗರ್ಪಿಸಿದೆ ।।೩।।

Transliteration:

P: Ambujakshana banta nenevarige nanta

nimbarige nelevanta varada hanumanta

 

1.  Jaladiyanu dhaanti janakige thalevaagi nee

nalidhakshaya nishaataadyararide sati ragu

kulendrananghriya kandu asahaayadi

halavu saahasa maadidakhiLa kapinatha

 

2. Kirmeera baka hidimbaka keechakaadi khaLa

durmati kadaLivanake mattha kariye

nirmaLaanane draupadiya bhangapadisida ku

karmi kauravarigashaniye

 

3. Shree baadaraayanaagnadi tatvasaaraartha

nee bodiside nija vaishnava janake

ee buvige kashmala kuvaadigala geddabja

naabi prasannavenkateshagarpiside

 

Translation:

O, soldier of the Lotus-eyed Lord! You are the kinsman of those who think of you. You are as dependable as the floor on which we stand. You are Hanumantha, the bestower of boons.

You crossed the ocean and prostrated before Janakidevi, without the knowledge of the countless demons around her. Having sought the blessings at the feet of Raghu Kulendra (Lord Rama)’s wife, you performed amazing unassisted feats, O leader of all the vanaras!

You slayed evil demons like Kirmeera, Bakasura, Hidimbaka and Keechaka, just like an elephant that lays waste to a plantain field. You came as a lightning bolt that scorched the wicked Kauravas who tried to humiliate the blemishless Draupadi.

Under the order of Badarayana (Vedavyasa) you taught the essence of Tattvavaada to the devout Vaishnavas. You defeated the detractors who were an impurity on this earth, and you dedicated your victory to Lotus-naveled Lord Prasanvenkatesha.
